I put together a one-page field checklist for dissimilar-metal tie-ins — when to isolate, G10 full-face kits with sleeves, sealants that won’t attack 50% glycol, and starting torque (40 ft‑lb on a 2 in. 150#) to keep joints dry and extend life. On 50% glycol tie-ins, we stopped the weepers by re-torquing after the first heat-up and nudging past your “40 ft‑lb on a 2 in. 150#” when the G10 kit had EPDM faces. Caveat: torque really swings with lube and the washer stack — — so we add a Belleville per stud outside the isolating washers and re-check continuity to keep the isolation legit.

We’ve kept these dry by treating the faces like a gasket landing strip — strip paint/rust to bright metal, wipe with acetone, and if your fingernail catches a ridge it’ll leak past a G10 full-face. After torque, I meter across the flanges for isolation (“≥1 MΩ”) to catch a missed sleeve or bridged washer; small caveat, don’t polish the serrations smooth, @carlson_84.
