On a reclaimed water retrofit we went to 2205 and the unexpected failure point was the supports β€” pitting started under carbon steel U-bolts β€” so now I always use lined clamps or plastic isolators at hangers and saddles. If chloride levels are way up on the pump discharge, @Nora, 2507 has been worth the premium, but 2205 has handled the rest.

I’ve found that using the right support materials is crucial when switching to 2205 for reclaimed water systems. I had an issue with corrosion under some carbon steel supports a while back, so now I make sure to go for nylon or plastic-lined clamps. Just a small change can save a lot of headaches down the line.
